Elena brings more than six years of Internet security experience to Activa PR. She has held various public relations roles on both the corporate side and the service side and has handled nearly everything under the umbrella of PR at some point in her career - writing, editorial outreach, industry awards programs, corporate speaker programs, strategy development, product launches and international PR.
Prior to joining Activa PR, Elena worked in-house for Check Point Software Technologies and NetObjects, Inc. and worked on the service side for Business Signatures (acquired by Entrust, Inc. in 2006). Much of Elena's career was spent at Check Point where she successfully increased the company's industry award wins by 75% and led the Asia Pacific team to boost coverage from 900 to 1,500 news articles in a one-year period.
Elena holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from U.C. Davis and is an alumni member of the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy where she co-created an original business concept and co-wrote a complete business plan. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, cooking and antiquing.
